HPSC, which stands for Haryana Public Service Commission, is the main exam-conducting body for the administrative posts in Haryana. This article provides HCS previous year question papers (prelims and main examination papers).

- Maximum – 27 years (for the DSP post)
- Maximum – 42 years (for other posts)

Scheme of Examination
The selection of candidates is done by these three phases:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Written Examination
- Personality Test / Viva-Voce
Preliminary Examination
It comprises two papers for a total of 200 marks:
- Paper 1 – General Studies – 100 marks
- Paper 2 – Civil Services Aptitude Test – 100 marks.
Note:
- Both question papers are of objective type (multiple choices) and each question paper shall be of two hours duration.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Paper 2 is qualifying hence candidates should secure a minimum of 33% marks.
- The candidates 12 times the number of advertised posts will be admitted to the main examination.
Main Written Examination
It comprises four papers for a total of 400 marks:
